The Arts Council of Tulare County was founded in 1979 as
the Tulare County Regional Arts Council, it is part of the
State and Local Partnership of the California Arts Council.
It responsibility is to increase the amount and quality of
local art activities and to increase public awareness and
participation in such activities. It does not compete with
other local arts organizations. Its purpose is to serve as
an advocating umbrella agency.
